My name is Albert and I am very much interested in mathematical subjects and concepts, but I also secondarily enjoy subjects such as history as well. I was a star math and history student at Los Gatos High School in CA and I did very well in multiple mathematical competitions such as Mathcounts, the yearly AHMSE/AIME, and the SAT I/II's. I taught recently at Success Chess school which involves a teacher teaching chess to a class size of about 30-40 people on a biweekly basis.

I very recently finished completing a few complex math classes such as linear algebra, and Calculus II/III. I very often read the newspaper and very caught up on political and current events, so I know very much of politics and history as well.

I like to tutor on a one to one basis and primarily, I do what best fits the student. Whether that is through direct aid with homework, question/ask sessions, or some other means, I tutor to help the student, not me.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Chess

My name is Albert and I am very interested in chess. As a child, I would read chess books regarding strategies, puzzles, openings, and endings. If I could not figure out the solution to a problem, I would work at it.

I taught at Success Chess for a three month period where I would teach young kids in a classroom setting of 30-40 kids about how to play chess, but I am an avid chess player as well.

General Computer

I am very confident in internet use and how a computer functions. I am very good at software and consider myself very knowledgeable about how a computer functions, especially via the internet.
