Hi there! I have recently graduated from University of California, Irvine with Psychology and Social Behavior.
As one of older students, I have gained not only campus but also work experiences which allow me to tutor students in any ranges.
By attending all my K-12 and 2 years in Dong-duk Women's University in Seoul, Korea, I can teach Korean from the very beginning to more intermediate levels. I am also familiar with Korean culture so I can use various materials to teach Korean.
I had my internships with children ages from 3- to 9- with Down syndrome at Down Syndrome Foundation in Newport Beach and with 1st and 2nd graders at THINK Together afterschool program organization. I assisted Speech therapist and Authorized teacher in Under Teens Class for literacy, math, and motor. My major job was translating educational materials from English to Korean to ensure understanding in diverse populations, making and preparing learning materials.
I also had my internship with 1st and 2nd graders with THINK Together afterschool program organization. Also, as one of older students, my work experiences before UCI as a Quality Assurance Team member in international projects in the call center allowed me to create effective call scripts and to monitor call qualities in Korean, I am also able to tutor adult students.
Through field study experiences in educational settings, I have gained different methods on how to learn and practice language so that I can teach language and support the students better. Contact me and I will teach Korean not only with the book materials, but also with various materials.
