I am a 2011 graduate of Brandeis University (summa cum laude) with a degree in philosophy and East Asian studies (with an emphasis on Japanese literature/history). During my tenure at Brandeis, I was a recipient of the Justice Louis D. Brandeis Merit Scholarship and a member of Japan Honor Society. In Spring 2013, I received a Master's degree in philosophy fom Northern Illinois University and am currently working toward a PhD in philosophy at USC.
I have experience teaching at both introductory and advanced levels of philosophy. More specifically, I am able and excited to teach logic, ethics (and various other topics in philosophy), writing, critical reading, text analysis, and essay argumentation.
In addition, I have previously done one-on-one tutoring of younger children in elementary mathematics, helped high school students with essay writing (particularly college essays), and taught English as a Second Language.
I am fluent in Russian and, therefore, I'd be happy to tutor Russian-language students as well as students who would like a Russian language partner. I also have some grasp of Japanese, German, and a little bit of French.
