Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

CBEST

As a graduate student working towards a teaching credential and Master's Degree, it has been required of me to pass the CBEST exam. With practice and prior knowledge, I was able to recently pass the CBEST exam on my first attempt. As I work with other aspiring teachers, the CBEST has been a concern to many. During the time I work with them, I have been able to improve my knowledge of the exam.

Hard Of Hearing

I am currently working towards a Master's Degree and Teaching Credential in Special Education, which qualifies me in working with individuals that are hard of hearing. In the past, I have worked with individuals with all forms of disability through Best Buddies and Special Olympics. Through these experiences, I have learned forms of communicating.

Martial Arts

For 9 years, I was enrolled in Tae Kwon Do classes. Over the years, I gained a lot of knowledge and experience through the lessons and tournaments. I reached a blue belt level, only two away from black.

Special Needs

My graduate education focused on pursuing a Master's Degree and Teaching Credential in Special Education qualifies me to work with individuals with special needs. I have worked with individuals with all forms of needs through Best Buddies and Special Olympics for the past four years. With these experiences, I have gained knowledge that makes me apt for working with individuals with mild/moderate disabilities, including but not limited to learning disabilities, Autism, Down Syndrome, and more.
