I am a graduate student at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, studying urban planning and transportation. I have a strong background in social studies, civics, and history (American and European), as well as writing, English, and middle school/high school math.

I recently moved to Los Angeles from Chicago, where I did my undergraduate studies a few years ago. My educational experiences, all the way back to elementary school, help shape the tutoring methods to which I subscribe: focus on fundamentals, have patience, build confidence.

In addition to tutoring math, English, social studies, and SAT and GRE prep, I have been a choral singer since a very young age. I have directed small vocal ensembles and have been a member of collegiate groups such as the Motet Choir at the University of Chicago. I can tutor beginner singers in the fundamentals of healthy singing.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Cooking

Learn how to make easy, great-tasting food for every meal! I specialize in vegetarian, local, produce-heavy food, cooked with simple-to-learn techniques. Whether you are looking to increase your vegetable intake in delicious ways, cut down the cost of your grocery bill, or make the transition to a vegetarian lifestyle, I can help.

In addition to in-home cooking lessons, I also offer grocery-shopping assistance to help reduce your bill and select the best ingredients for easy, healthy cooking.

I can teach you techniques that form the building blocks to cooking great soups, stir-fry, pasta, eggs, salads, grains, beans, and more!
