I am what I call a Cultural Mongrel. Born in Madrid to a Californian-Swedish mother and Anglo-French father, I'm a natural bilingual in English and Spanish, as well as speaking French and Indonesian. I have travelled to 26 countries with my eyes and ears wide open and a consistent fascination with humanity.
Educated at an International School in Madrid, I moved to London for my university studies where I read Multimedia Technology and Design, earning a Bachelor of Sciences Honours Degree. I then worked as the youngest Creative Strategist at the world's most creatively awarded advertising agency at the time.
With that experience under my belt and a yearning for adventure, I left London to go travelling through China, South East Asia, Australia and eventually Los Angeles, California!
It was during my time in Shanghai and various places in Indonesia that I had the opportunity to teach English to students of various ages and levels of proficiency, from children to members of the diplomatic service. I found it a natural and intuitive process, realizing that there is no one-size-fits-all: people learn best when focusing through the lens of their interests and passions.
Since arriving in L.A., I have fully embraced the multifaceted personality of the city, working on the one hand as a Photographer, Videographer and Digital Artist and as a personal tutor on the other. I really enjoy the relationships that I have established with my students - I regard them as profoundly symbiotic, human communication is so much more that words and grammar, it's about the transference of meaning, free flowing expression and ultimately Connection. These are my priorities and the nature of my approach. They are profound and universal and therefore completely consonant with my teaching of Digital Artistry, the tools as in the grammar, are a means to an end of a much higher purpose.
My Spanish is Castilian, that is, spoken with the original accent and grammar from the capital of Spain. This makes it ideal for students that hope to study abroad, actors working on refining their accent and phonetics, and businessmen. However, I am fully used to all South American variants and can tailor the tutoring accordingly.
As for people seeking to maintain and improve high level conversation in Spanish or English, we can speak of anything you like, from current affairs, literature and film, or even my main topics of interest: conscious evolution, sacred geometry and philosophy.
It may be a bit of a mouthful but I seek to represent myself as thoroughly as possible to help you make the best and most informed choice of a tutor.
All the Best! Greetings!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
