With over 25 years of experience in college consulting I help students and families with the selection of colleges, applications, and essays. I also help parents with the basics of the financial aid process, often finding students over $200k in scholarships to private colleges and universities. I have visited over 500 colleges and universities, speaking knowledgeably about colleges I suggest students and their parents consider for admission. My students get into their top choice schools. I also provide extracurricular and summer program suggestions to increase a student's chances of admission, but are also fun and exciting for them. The initial consultation is at no charge. I meet you in your home and can skype if that is a preferred method of meeting.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Career Development

From career testing to career counseling and coaching, I have worked with students, young adults, and older professionals transitioning from one career to another for the past 25 years. I have a masters degree from Harvard University, a bachelors from the Claremont Colleges, taught on the faculty at Boston University and served as an academic and career counselor on that campus.

College Counseling

College counseling is more than just filling out applications -- it's also the selection of the best fit colleges for the student, creating a winning resume and essays that stand out from the rest at competitive colleges across the country.

I've been to over 500 colleges in the United States, Canada, and Europe and have provided college counseling for over 25 years to students in the Los Angeles basin to students in Korea, China, Hong Kong, Canada who wish to study in the United States. From high school students going off to college to college students going on to graduate school and beyond, I have worked with hundreds of satisfied students and families over the years.

Harvard Masters in educational management and organizational development, Claremont Colleges undergrad, University of Hawaii study abroad/research. I also taught at Boston University on the public relations faculty, served as an academic counselor, and worked in admission on that campus.
