As an Earth Science Student at CSUDH, I spent good amount of hours in the rock laboratory mastering about 400 different rocks and minerals. Later, I felt the motivation to help other Earth Science Students in the subject. I volunteered myself for basic Geology Teacher assistant. My professor accepted immediately. I basically helped Students with the rock and minerals identification from the physical and chemical point of view. I also serve myself to students in the classroom assisting and supporting them doing their different lab work under Earth Science for Teachers and Earth Science 100 level. I continue working this way for about 5 years imparting work shops in Geology. During this time I learned how to motivate the Students individually or in a group in different levels. In order for me to be effective, I must be first honest, trustful and knowledgeable in the subject. With these tools in hand, I gained the Student's trust and confidence becoming an effective Tutor.
