I have always enjoyed learning history. I continue to add to my knowledge of it through travel, exposure to different cultures, and reading. I use my knowledge and experience to help make history come alive and meaningful to those I teach.

I have been trained and use phonics as an Educational Therapist, and a DHH teacher.
Reading is my favorite form of exercising my mind and restoring my soul - as well as teaching basic survival skills to my students.
I am a fluent user of ASL. I use it consistently in my Special DHH Day Class. I have also taught ASL classes, and used it as an Interpreter and ASL performer.
I have trained and experienced with a wide range of special needs, including behavior, DHH, Learning Differences, Ed. Therapy, and Mentally Challenged.

Vocabulary is an essential way of expanding one's communication skills and understanding of the world.
I enjoy learning, reading, and teaching history, as well as experiencing it through travel.
I am skilled at teaching writing from the most basic level of daily living to more sophisticated means of communication. I help my students learn to feel comfortable with writing, focusing on building on their ideas, feelings and experiences to produce it to the best of their abilities.
