I am currently working at Northrop Grumman performing aerospace engineering research and development for unmanned aircraft, propulsion technologies, and aircraft noise.

I have completed studies at Syracuse University where I graduated Cum Laude with a degree in aerospace engineering as well as dual minors in mathematics and engineering management. I am currently pursuing my Master of Science in aerospace engineering from Georgia Tech and looking to stay busy during the summer. I am proficient in many computer programs and have completed graduate level math courses up to partial differential equations and Fourier series. I have also managed a calculus workshop at Syracuse University where I evaluated and assisted engineering students in learning essential mathematical concepts. My workshop consisted of 9 students, all of whom received nothing below a B+ in calculus.

After experiencing my fair share of nightmare professors; I understand that the ability to comprehend a subject versus the ability to teach a subject are fundamentally different skills. Every individual has a unique way of learning new material, this is especially true for challenging subjects involving mathematics. My goal is to identify a students strengths and weaknesses and teach in a way that enables my clients to leverage skills they were unaware they possess. Anyone is capable of learning a subject. Patience, motivation, and confidence are the ingredients to success in any scholastic endeavor.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Differential Equations

The degree requirements for aerospace engineering at Syracuse University requires a course in ordinary differential equations. After taking ODE, I completed the differential equations series by taking partial differential equations and earning a minor in mathematics. I am comfortable tutoring either, however PDEs are significantly more difficult than ODEs and require a strong background in mathematics before pursuing.

MATLAB

As an aerospace engineer, MATLAB coding is practically a second language for me. I am familiar with almost all of the advanced applications of MATLAB including creating M-files, calling functions, "for loops", "while loops", "if statements", creating arrays and strings, etc.
