I graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in philosophy and a minor in technical writing. During those four years I worked with the chairman of the philosophy department by helping to design the syllabus of an introductory course, assessing students' coursework, and tutoring them throughout the semester. Later on I also volunteered as a tutor for international students who had trouble with English grammar, articulation, and vocabulary.
I also did one year of post-baccalaureate work at U.C. Berkeley in the Health Professions program, focusing specifically on cellular biology/chemistry, ecosystems, and botany.
