My name is Paul. I have previously worked as a Math and Physics Tutor (4+ years experience) with the NASA Scholars Program in Los Angeles, tutoring college and high school students. In addition, I have assisted Undergraduate and Graduate students (including PHD, Statistics and dissertation writing, through WyzAnt-past 3 years) from UCLA, USC,LMU, SMC, UCI,Cal-State Long Beach, CSUN, Brown University, and Colorado University to name a few.
I have strong backgrounds in Math and Architecture. I completed 2 and 1/2 years of Architecture at the Los Angeles Institute of Architecture and Design in Fall 2004. In Spring 2004 I was the recipient of a student competition award from the American Institute of Architects at the A&D Museum in West Hollywood. I am enrolled at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona-CAL POLY- to complete a Major in Architecture and a Minor in Math. I also received the Don Leiffer award for excellence in Math at West Los Angeles College in spring 2005.
My professional architecture internships (TFA Inc.,AJLA&A,K-RLM Inc.), sports background and interactions with my nephews and nieces gave me a unique opportunity to use visual and verbal communication queues during one on one tutoring sessions with students. I have employed three dimensional architectural constructs to make abstract mathematical concepts easier to comprehend. Math and Physics can be fun for you and anyone willing to take the first step.
