My name is Michelle, and I have been teaching and tutoring a variety of subjects since 1995. I have taught MS Office products in a formal setting for a now defunct company in Santa Monica, CA. However, I have also been tutoring a variety of computer software programs with an emphasis on video editing informally for many years. Since I have been working as a video editor and web designer, I have real-world experience using programs like Adobe Creative Suite, Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro 7 & X. I have also solved computer problems online and offline for many years.
In addition to interest in video (Film/TV) and computers, I have a deep love of US History since the Civil War. I have corrected US History tests as a volunteer at a Los Angeles continuation high school. My BA is in Communications from UCLA with a 3.42 (I was in the honors program for most of my time at UCLA), and I have training as a journalist. I also have a lot of knowledge of math concepts through algebra and geometry. I have written and produced a variety of stories and editorials for written publications and radio. I’m excited about the opportunity to impart what I've learned to a variety of students young and old. It’s never too late to learn!
