Although I am new to the tutoring game, my roots in education run deep. I studied History at UCSD, and was accepted into the Teach For America program. I spent two years teaching in a middle school, where I taught virtually all subjects except for PE. My students consistently excelled and reading averages soared. After my time in the classroom, I joined the ranks of an education-focused non profit, where I helped shape tutoring programs that were used throughout LAUSD. Unfortunately due to budgets cuts I was laid off, but I cannot escape that education bug. so now I am here, looking to be the best tutor I can be!
When it comes to primary and secondary English I am a master with an inside scoop. From writing short synopses about novels to long drawn out research papers, if it involves writing I will get you an A+.
I also excel in all things History. From World, to Ancient, to Medieval, to United States, I have it all covered. In college, I spent a year researching and writing papers for a History Focused Non-Profit. Like English, when it comes to all thing History I will get you that A+ or help you pass whatever history course they throw at you. I will also make it fun!
While teaching, I lead two Special Education classes, so I also have experience with Mild to Moderate disabilities as well as Autism.
