I have B.S in Economics major and math minor with magna cum lauder, and M.S in Economics. Also, as a peer tutor in Truman State University, I tutored principles of microeconomics/macroeconomics, and intermediate microeconomics/macroeconomics, statistics, linear algebra, and mathematics. In the past five years, I tutored over 90 students in quantitative subjects.
I always give my students some practice problems to make sure they understand the concepts very well.
I would like to tutor courses:
1. Pre-calculus/Calculus I/Business Calculus
I was a tutor in Pre-calculus and Calculus I from 2009 to December 2012. Mostly, I helped College students in these subjects.
2. Calculus II/Calculus III
I got A in Cal II and III classes and was a tutor to help College students including engineering and math major from 2010 to December 2012.
3. AP Calculus AB/BC
Currently, I am helping couple high school students in AP Calculus AB/BC and preparing them for the AP Calculus test in this May. I usually will assign my students some extra practice problems every week.
4.Statistics/ Probability/AP Statistics
I have advanced statistics courses in my graduate school, and have experience in tutoring probability and statistics with college level. Also, I tutored high school students in AP statistics last year.
5. Economics courses
AP Economics, Principle/Intermediate of Microeconomics, Principle/ Intermediate of Macroeconomics, Econometrics
I took two year PhD level economic courses including Advanced Macroeconomics I, II, Advanced Microeconomics I, II, and Advanced Econometrics I, II, III, and Mathematics of Economics.
I was a graduate teaching assistant from August 2010 to May 2013. I assisted professor with principles of microeconomics class presentations, taught three classes independently; and explained microeconomics key words and concepts and answered questions for students. I did an internship as a Graduate Research Assistant in cost/benefit analysis. I help some high schools students in AP economics since last year.
From 01/2009-05/2010, I was a teaching assistant in macroeconomics and international economics.
I am highly skilled in economic and quantitative analysis and data research. I can convey complex ideas in understandable terms to small and large audiences. I routinely gave lectures to audiences of more than 200 college students.
My areas of expertise are: statistical and data analyses, data mining, SAS programming, process improvement, teaching college level economic and mathematics subjects.
6. Business: Mathematics of Finance, CFA level I
I got an A in Math of Finance, the value of money. I passed CFA level I this June at my first attempt, I would like tutor CFA level I especially in Economics and Quantitative subjects. I am working CFA level II exam right now.
