My passion for math has flourished since elementary school. For some reason I always liked multiplying random big numbers in my head and challenge myself to figure out the answer. Since then, math was always involved in my life. In the 4 years that I attended ELAC I was fortunate to meet great professors who gave me a chance to volunteer at the math lab and eventually got hired. With determination, optimism and confidence anything is possible as long as you believe in yourself.
The subjects I tutor are Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1&2, College Algebra, Elementary Statistics, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry and Calculus 1&2.( For Calculus I only tutor up to all the integration techniques). I don't have a favorite or do I specialize in any of them but I am very knowledgeable and I have more than 2 years tutoring these subjects. I have worked with students ranging from 8 years old up to 50. I currently work with an educational tutoring service company and I tutor high school students one on one. I can also do group tutoring and I have recently been assigned to go to certain high schools and teach the Math portion for the SAT Workshop Preps.
Many of the past students that I have tutored have commented that I have patience. One thing to math or any subject in general is to have the patience to work out the problem. Showing the steps to the problem helps you practice and store that information for a long time rather than just memorizing prior to a test. I will break down the problem and explain it in a manner where no terminology may confuse the student. I'll rather take 10 minutes explaining one problem than having to repeat myself multiple times because of my poor explanation.
Feel free to ask me any question as there's no such thing as a stupid question. If there's something that you need me to repeat or did not understand, please advise me that way I can take care of that first before continuing the lesson.
I look forward to hearing from you, so I can help you in doing your school work and achieve the grade you're looking for in your studies.
