The past nine years of my life have been a whirlwind adventure of learning:
I received my BS and MS in Physics at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA. For the duration, I was always taking a minimum of 6 courses a semester in fields that I had found interesting, exciting, and worthwhile.
The past four years I spent doing my PhD in computational biophysics in Heinrich Heine Universität Düsseldorf in Germany. I have a passion for learning that I want to spread.
I excel at helping people feel they understand the material better:
Previous clients have noted that I am able to take seemingly complex problems and make them very understandable. What this means for a client is that I identify weak points in ways that they think and teach them to reframe hard problems as simple ones.
I love learning to overcome internal boundaries, and helping people who have said, "I can't" start saying "I DID!" I strive to elucidate the obscure and make my clients stronger as a person.
I have an extensive background with Math and Science:
I've seen a ton of physics problems, and I have an intuitive sense of how to approach the new ones I haven't seen. I've been at the forefront of research and enjoy doing calculations about how the world exists.
Learning math has been part and parcel to learning these physics skills. Math is the language of physics. I understand the rules of math, and how to bend them. I know shortcuts that make work easier, but there are also some concepts that take a while to digest, and I'm there to help you understand them.
