First and foremost, I am a learner. I love to learn more than anything else, and because of that I have a lot to give to people too! Though I enjoy teaching all ages, most of my experience is with children. In some ways, I am still a child inside and feel like I understand their ways.
I'm an aspiring filmmaker who has worked on several films, including a short film that I wrote. This is a passion of mine, but it doesn't yet pay the bills.
My major work experience is in soccer coaching Soccer is another passion of mine; it's how I stay in shape and how I express myself athletically. I would be a different person if it wasn't for the beautiful game!
I've been coaching youth soccer for six years and hold an Advanced Regional Coaching Certification from NSCAA and I am CPR and First Aid certified. Most of my experience is with children ages 2-12. I recently moved from New York where an average day would see me teaching one, two or three soccer classes for younger or less experienced kids (ages 2-8, sometimes 1 on 1), in the mornings and unless I was working with my U-11 A boys, the afternoon would see me working with one of the other teams in our club (U-8 thru U-13). Its so incredibly rewarding to spend time working with a child and see how quickly they can soak up ideas, and put specific techniques into practice. Kids are such great learners!
I studied art in college, and am well versed in classic painting and drawing techniques, but my talent is really in composition and photography. This is one reason I am moving toward film as a career.
I have played guitar for the past 13 years, teaching myself how to play in high school so I could be in a band with my friends. I now spend a good portion of my free time writing songs and mixing them into my iPad with a great program I have, experimenting with different sounds and generally just getting a ton of joy out of making music.
I hope to get a chance to share one of my passions with you!
