I'm new to WyzAnt, but not new to teaching! I am a UCLA-trained statistician who specializes in college-level statistics and thesis/dissertation consulting. I hold a PhD in Social and Quantitative Psychology from UCLA and am currently employed in the Graduate School of Education at UCLA.
I have extensive experience making statistics accessible and understandable. I am trained in all aspects of quantitative research, and I have authored or co-authored multiple research publications. Need help with SPSS? You've come to the right place! Having been through the graduate school process for a research-intensive PhD, I am your go-to tutor for statistics help with your thesis, dissertation, grant proposal, or journal publication. I am trained in structural equation modeling and multi-level modeling.
I am currently employed as a Senior Statistician in the Graduate School of Education at UCLA. At UCLA I work on research seeking to improve math, science, and statistics skills in middle and high school students in Southern California. I am interested in tutoring because in my current job as a numbers-cruncher, I rarely get to interact with actual students, which I find very rewarding. I am an advocate for diversity and equity in education and have extensive experience working with students from diverse ethnic, socio-economic, and political backgrounds.
I am open to meeting on the UCLA campus or in a location of your choosing.
