ADD/ADHD
I have an MA Adapted Physical Education PE for children and adults with special needs including inherited and genetic disorders, emotional disabilities, post operative rehabilitation, and healthy lifestyle support.
I have been a special education teacher for five years.
Anatomy
BA in Kinesiology and Master's in adapted physical education, (PE for people with special needs). Physical education is the study of human performance, above and beyond a knowledge of sports and games. I have supervised labs in fitness, sports and games for people with special needs at the community college and university level. All program plans are based on an assessment of students' physical condition, goals and interests.
My skills are based on animal dissections, internships in physical therapy, and course work in anatomy, human physiology and kinesiology.
Autism
I have a BA in Special Education, five years' teaching experience including instructional prep for students with physical, emotional, mental and psychosocial disabilities.
I also have an MA Adapted Physical Education and am trained to prepare sport, game and fitness activities for adults and children with disabilities, including physical, mental, emotional, psychosocial disabilities.
Biology
BA Kinesiology CSUSacramento, MA Adapted Physical Education CSUChico. Physical education is the study of human performance. My background in physical and biological science includes chemistry, physics, biology, anatomy, human physiology and human kinetics. I have worked as an outdoor educator and natural resource guide to the biology of the Mono Basin. I was instrumental in founding the Mono Basin National Scenic Area. I have a personal commitment to natural resource conservation.
CBEST
I passed CBEST and have a BA and MA in Education. I can supply verification of passing document.
Elementary (K-6th)
I have been a Special Education Teacher K-12 for five years and have experience teaching children with emotional, learning, psychosocial, and physical disabilities. I have prepared lesson plans based on CA. Curriculum guidelines, and implemented lessons in all subject areas, progress reports, grading, IEPs.
Elementary Science
I have fifteen years of experience teaching special education for children with special needs. I am trained to assess student skills and needs and develop effective study plans. I am familiar with California Curriculum math standards for K-12. I have completed Special Education credential coursework CSULos Angeles, including linguistics, teaching reading and writing, and practicum in teaching reading to students below grade level.
GED
BA and Master's in Physical Education. Strong background in math and science required for my degree work in PE. Strong writing and comprehension skills required for Master's thesis preparation and research. Excellent study skills: ability to prioritize, organize and retain subject content.
