I am a recent graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York with my Master's in Applied Mathematics, where I was also a teaching assistant. As a teaching assistant, I frequently went the extra mile to ensure my students’ success, understanding and performance in their courses. This required excellent time-management, leadership, organizational, and communication skills. My commitment to my responsibilities was evident not only in the time spent “on the job” but in the successful results my students achieved.
I also have previous experience tutoring students of different academic and social backgrounds in the following courses: Calculus I-III, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Probability, and Proofs. I enjoyed helping them understand their individual learning styles and building their confidence with their course material. In addition to working with teenagers, my volunteer experience with FIRST LEGO League gave me the opportunity to work and interact with younger students as well.
