My name is Jeff, and I hope to be your ideal tutor!

I am former New York State Certified high school and middle school English teacher. I have taught all levels of high school English including AP, Honors, English 9,10,11,12 and inclusion courses. I also have taught electives such as journalism, Shakespeare, creative writing, and mystery and detective fiction. I have been a tutor for both SAT and ACT Verbal and writing for the past year.

I am passionate about literature and writing, which is why I became a teacher in the first place. Tutoring however, has been even more rewarding as working one-on-one with students allows me to focus and help individual students.

I not only hope to help a student improve their grades in English and SAT's, but as well foster an excitement and appreciation for writing and literature.
