I have been tutoring students in various subjects since I was 14 years old.
I am both fluent in German and English. I speak "Hochdeutsch" without an accent, and I am an expert in world literature and mythology. I have a private collection of over 1500 books which I make available to my students when necessary.
I am also an experienced ESL teacher and can help students take and pass the TOEFL test.
I was the Editor-in-Chief of an internationally distributed magazine and can help students improve their writing - in terms of grammar, style and effectiveness.
My experience throughout the years has shown me that different students prefer different teaching styles. There are spatial/visual learners, tactile/kinetic, auditory and/or logical learners. I am able to quickly assess how your brain best likes to absorb information and tailor my lessons to fit your specific needs.
I believe that it is not only important to be familiar with the subject that you are teaching but that you are also able to teach it in such a way that it is easily absorbed and retained by the student.
