My name is Saul, and I am offering Latin and Ancient Greek language tutoring. I graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude in May from Oberlin College with a major in Classical Language.
I have tutored individuals in one-on-one sessions in classical languages for two years, as well as led group learning sessions at the college level. I am also a professional translator, and am currently translating a 300+ page Latin treatise by reformation theologian Theodore Beze for a Kluge Scholar at the Library of Congress.
I have studied in Rome at the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies, and in Greece at the American School of Classical Studies, and have a deep knowledge of classical culture and civilization, essential elements to a good classical education which I am enthusiastic to share and teach.
I am a skilled teacher, and I work well with students of all ages and all abilities, whether you're just beginning, working for a good SAT score, wanting some help in college, or would just like to "greece" the old wheels. I love etymologies and history, and am enthusiastic about sharing these with students--it will help them to understand the importance of the Classical Languages to our own society.
