The desire to learn has been the single most important driving force in my life for as long as I can remember. From a young age, I would collect books on writing, history, science, and anything else that offered a gateway into the wonderful world of knowledge we live in. Not to mention, for a kid who was never good at sports, winning the local National Geographic Geography Bee and getting ranked on the National Latin Exam was totally awesome (in nerd terms). In school, I was always a strong academic. I even graduated high school in just two years, driven by my desire to get more out my education. After proving to myself at a college in my home state of New Jersey and abroad at University of Oxford that I could make it as a 4.0 student, I moved to California at age 17 to pursue my love of writing for television. A few years later, I graduated with honors from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena (ranked by BusinessWeek and U.S. News as the #1 art school in the country) with a BFA in film concentrating on writing. After attending Art Center, to play it safe, I applied to law school. However, despite scoring in the top ten percent on the LSAT, I gave up the idea of law school, when to my near disbelief, one of the television pilots I'd written managed to catch an astounding amount of industry buzz, landing me a top manager and agent in "the biz." Today, I continue to work as a writer in the entertainment industry while sharing my passion for learning here at WyzAnt. To further my commitment to education, I continue to take writing classes from time to time and the occasional distance education class through Harvard University online. I hope that through my work I can use my passion for learning to help you find yours.
