I'm Will and please allow me to introduce myself. I am a graduate of Cornell University and I currently work for an international real estate brokerage firm focusing on the investment sales of hospitality assets. At Cornell, I served as the lead teaching assistance for business courses including finance, real estate, accounting, operations, computing and technology, economics, and strategic management. I specialize in tutoring analytical-oriented courses, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, accounting, economics, mathematics (Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Geometry), and strategic management.
I also specialize in tutoring both Mandarin. Having spent a number of years of my childhood growing up in Asia, I am completely fluent in bilingual in English and Mandarin. In addition to teaching the fundamentals (speaking, listening, reading, and writing), I leverage my expertise in business finance to teach Mandarin in the business context and my knowledge of the Chinese customs to incorporate cultural aspects in my curriculum. I am extremely proud of my roots and am grateful to have the opportunity to assist those who are interested in learning the Mandarin language.
Further, I specialize in providing services for college admissions and career placement/development. At Cornell, I served as a college counselor in which I mentored students in learning post high school educational opportunities and career options, assisted students in the college application process by evaluating resumes and personal statements, guided students through the financial aid process, conducted mock interviews with students, and provided public speaking coaching sessions for students to enhance their speaking skills and confidence. Currently, I serve as a committee member and interviewer for the Cornell Alumni Admissions & Interview Committee.
I am genuine, and my classes are affordable and result-driven. Growing up, I’ve been fortunate to have met mentors who have been understanding, caring, and compassionate in my personal and professional growth, and I hope to continue their teaching philosophies as I assume the mentorship role. Thank you for your interest and I appreciate the opportunity and your time. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me.
