My name is Vincent, and I am currently a 4th year Ph D student in organic chemistry at the University of Southern California. I am an experienced tutor, as I tutored chemistry all throughout my undergraduate career, and was a teaching assistant in my graduate career. Teaching is my passion and it is my goal to teach in a university when I graduate.
As a tutor, my strength is identifying where the weaknesses lie in a student, and explaining concepts in a way that is easy to understand. I am extremely patient, and am willing to discuss concepts in detail from multiple angles until it is completely understood. In addition to the practice problems provided in the textbook, I will also write numerous practice problems myself to distribute amongst students to ensure they get enough practice.
Although I specialize in organic chemistry, I also have experience tutoring other areas. I obtained a score of 760/800 on the math section of my SATs, 760/800 on the SAT math subject test and an 800/800 on the math section of my GREs, and am willing to tutor this subject areas as well.
