I am a classically trained pianist and singer who studied intensively at Chetham's school of Music, (Manchester, England, UK; this school is the British equivalent of Julliard) from age 11. Since then, I have gained a variety of experience as an accompanist, classical piano/harpsichord soloist, and singer/actor in musical theatre, as well as composing for small films and mostly theatrical productions, including original works performed by the Beijing International Chamber Orchestra. I have been teaching piano, voice, music theory, composition, music history and aural skills since 2003, gaining a diploma in practical piano teaching in addition to my BA in Music. I have taught in China, the UK and the USA, working as musical director and running camps and music programs for children aged 2 - 18, although my area of most expertise is ages 6-12. I have worked at some of China's most prestigious International schools with the most advanced resources, and have also taught at very poor Chinese schools with no resources or instruments apart from the student's own voices, and a range of environments in between. I am an enthusiastic, energetic, experienced and efficient teacher who aims to make learning fun as we progress. If interested, please do not hesitate to contact me for more information or a resume. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
