Patient and Dedicated Math/Science Tutor (UCLA & Emory Grad)

As a student who has received countless hours of tutoring and test prep, I hope to be able to impart my knowledge and help students achieve their academic goals as others have done for me. I recently graduated with a Master of Public Health from Emory University and I aspire to become a health educator. I also possess a bachelor's from UCLA in Molecular, Cell and Developmental biology. With these degrees, I can help you improve your understanding of the biological sciences and math including biostatistics. I am well equipped to tutor most other subjects as well. I am experienced in creating lessons and making them enjoyable for my students to help them absorb the material. I have taught and tutored elementary school students as well as adults, helping them in subjects such as reading, spelling, and math. I am patient, creative, and dogged and ready to help students excel!

Biology

I took honors and AP biology in high school and passed the AP exam with a 4 and SAT II Biology exam with 700 (2004). My undergraduate major was Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology and I graduated with a GPA of 4.45 at UCLA (2009).

SAS

I have an Master of Public Health and took three biostatistics courses (a series) while pursuing my masters. I used the program in all 3 courses to complete assignments, projects, and my thesis. I can perform basic to complex analyses including descriptive, t-tests, chi-square tests, univariate/multivariate modeling with linear, logistic, and multi-level modeling.
