If your son or daughter has been struggling with school, one-on-one tutoring will give your child the individual attention that he/she needs to get ahead.
I am a graduate student in school counseling who has completed internships working with students at a middle school and high school in Los Angeles Unified School District. I have worked as a part-time tutor for the past four years, including for two years with a tutoring agency in Los Angeles. I have successfully tutored several dozen students.
I specialize in tutoring elementary students in all subjects, as well as middle school students in English, Reading, and Writing. My tutoring methods vary by subject and student. As an example, math tutoring may involve lessons in math skills, worksheets, and flashcards. English tutoring may involve spelling tests, flashcards, reading short stories, comprehension questions, and word games. I believe that the individualized attention and the connection I develop with my students are the biggest motivators for them to succeed.
I naturally connect well with children, and my clients’ academic performance have improved significantly after working with them. Families have evaluated me as being flexible, patient, understanding, and enthusiastic. I love working with students and am truly passionate about helping them succeed.
If your child is in special education, we can work out a tutoring plan that accommodates your child’s needs. I am trained to do behavioral therapy and have two years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities such as autism, intellectual disability, and cerebral palsy.
I look forward to hearing from you!
