Hi! My name is Megan, and I am currently a freshman at Washington University in St. Louis. I am pursuing a pre-medicine course track, and I will most likely double major in biochemistry and classics. I am also a graduate from Harvard-Westlake School in Studio City, CA.
I have helped many of my peers in school and tutored others in a variety of subjects, typically in biology, human anatomy and physiology, mathematics, and Latin. These are academic areas that I am personally most confident in, but my ability to aid others in their work is not limited to those. I can help out in math up to calculus, chemistry, and basic Japanese, to name a few.
Considering that I am just a college student, my youth may seem to be a detriment, but if anything, I believe that it acts as a significant advantage in helping middle and high school students. I completely understand the stresses and difficulties that arise at this stage in life, and because I have experienced and overcome such situations, I am in a great position to help younger students succeed.
I am definitely a friendly and easygoing person, but when it comes to academics, I am completely serious and focused. Success is always the goal for me, and I am determined to let that be a possibility for others. From my own experiences in school and in teaching others, I take a holistic approach with each person. Different strategies work for different people, so I will always take the time to find the perfect method of instruction.
Patience is one of my stronger virtues, so you can be sure that I will never give up on a student. Anybody can learn, and I will take as much time as needed to help everyone succeed in their endeavors.
