Hello,
My name is Vivian P. and I have been an Education Specialist for over 10 years in both the public and non-public school settings. And, that beautiful puppy is my black lab, Smokey.
I have chosen Special Education as my field of expertise because every child deserves equal access to core curriculum content regardless of ability. The methodologies I implement into my direct teaching are multiple exposures, manipulatives, alternative resources, drawing for understanding, hand-on projects/experiments, and graphic organizers. By implementing various teaching methodologies the student becomes an active participant in their education and internalize new content, concepts, and most importantly builds comprehension across subject areas.
I have my Clear Credentials in Multiple Subjects Elementary Education and Special Education Mild/Moderate as well as a myriad of professional developments, specialized training's and certifications. I am currently working toward my Masters of Science in Special Education.
I spend many hours out doors playing golf, hiking, going to music festivals, fishing, and spending time with my dog, Smokey.
I love being a teacher of students with special needs and developmental disabilities they need a person that creates a safe environment for learning to ensue.
