I have been tutoring elementary school students as well as teenagers on a volunteer basis at the 826LA tutoring center in Echo Park for the past two years. I previously worked as an in-class tutor as part of the America Reads initiative when I was a college student in New York City at NYU.

My areas of expertise include English, Social Studies, Math, college entrance essays, standardized exams and Hebrew (fluent). I also have a strong background in theater, cinema and creative writing. My unique strengths as a tutor include quiet patience and a willingness to entertain students' jokes and tangents (while simultaneously bringing them back to task). Hebrew

I am a fluent Hebrew speaker who has lived in Israel for over eight years. I frequently do Hebrew to English translation work and so I am able to read and speak Hebrew at nearly a native level. However, as I do very little writing in Hebrew, I do not consider myself fluent in writing (although I am proficient).

I have no lesson plans for teaching Hebrew but would be happy to work with students on any materials or projects they may have.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
