I am a doctoral student in American Religious History, with a focus on modern history. I have taken multiple classes in both my graduate and undergraduate schooling in American History and related subjects.
I also have extensive experience working with high schoolers as a college admissions counselor.
I have over three years professional experience in undergraduate college admissions offices. For 2 years, I worked full time as an Admission Counselor in the Office of Admission at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY. I have also worked part time in various Liberal Arts Colleges' Offices of Admissions while in graduate school. I have read and evaluated well over a thousand college application essays, and interviewed hundreds of prospective students for college admission.
I have three years' experience in undergraduate Admissions, giving hundreds of presentations and information sessions. I was a member of high school speech and debate and mock trial teams. Additionally, I trained the student workers in the Office of Admission at Sarah Lawrence College in giving school tours, conducting interviews, and presenting information sessions.
I will be starting a doctoral program in the fall in the History of Christianity and Religions of North America at Claremont Graduate University. I hold a Master's in Theology from Claremont School of Theology, with a focus on Religion, Ethics, and Society. My undergraduate concentration was in religion as well.
