K-8, SAT Verbal/Essay Tutor; English, Math, and Science

I'm an LA-based tutor for K-8 students. I recently moved here from Honolulu where I worked at an after-school program helping students with homework. I've also worked with students with Down syndrome and autism.

I specialize in English (grammar, writing, literature, vocabulary) as well as formal essay writing. I teach math through prealgebra. Additionally, I teach K-8 science (I am currently a senior level food science student at the University of Hawaii).

I would also be an ideal choice as an SAT tutor for the essay and verbal portions of the test, on which I scored 760 and 700, respectively.

I have a very flexible schedule and can come after school or on the weekend to assist students with homework or test prep. If students have trouble with a concept I am patient and use visual cues and hands-on learning.
