I can't remember a time when I wasn't either a student or a teacher. I did the usual schooling. I also completed a four-year college, a master's and a PhD. So a lot of school. I also started my professional career as a teacher in elementary school. Then I coached and mentored elementary school teachers on how to teach math so all students were successful. Now I am a professor at CSUN and I teach in the Elementary Education Department - I teach teacher candidates how to teach math, language aspects to consider, how to attend to individual students' needs. So I've had many different types of students. I also have a 4 and 2 year old so I'm learning how to teach to yet another age group! I'm looking to make some extra money that will supplement my family's income.
