I have been teaching for close to 20 years, nearly all grades K-12.
I am currently earning my doctorate in education at USC, specializing in K-12 Leadership.
I have an MFA in theater performance, which is an amalgamation of acting, writing and directing.
I currently teach English to high school students during the day and playwriting to adults at night.
I wrote a book on solo performance that I use as my syllabus. Additionally, a few university professors use it as theirs.
I also write theater reviews for a national news organization.
I have a BA in theater with a minor in political science. My senior thesis was a trilogy of plays, and my senior internship was as lobbyist in the Minnesota legislature.
I have held a variety of jobs over the years, including nanny, waitress, taxi driver, voice-over artist, kibbutz volunteer, telephone operator, political campaign manager, visiting theater director in México and more.
Because of my extensive experience teaching all grades, coupled with my diverse background, I know which language skills persist from year to year and which are real-world applicable.
I would be happy to help you develop and extend your skills.
