ACT Reading
I taught remedial 6-8th grade reading for many years before becoming a college professor and psychologist. Please contact me and let's get started tackling this small challenge and move toward passing those necessary tests and, ultimately, graduation together. I enjoy reading and the thought of sharing one of the most precious gifts in all of academe with others; making reading and writing fun and exciting! ADD/ADHD
I have a PhD is Social Psychology and 2 years Post-Doctorate in Clinical Psychology I am board eligible for marriage family therapy , clinical psychology and certified eligible in Addictions. I have the necessary training and expertise to tutor students with [psychological and emotional special needs. Therefore I humbly submit this request for certification in ADD/Adhd so that I may be of service to the student population you serve.
Ballroom Dancing
Performer by passion; Psychologist/professor by profession. I have a degree in Theater Education where performance was my forte'. I have danced in the international company of Evita; played the lead role in Purlie and toured nationally four seasons with the FAMU Connection, a live performance spectacle of song, dance and dramatics woven together as a recruitment tool to lure National Merit Scholars to Florida A&M University. We beat Harvard twice during my seasons. I am confident that I can teach social, as well as ballroom dances including but limited to: Interpretative, Waltz, Salsa, Marenga, Macarena, the Swim, the Pony, 2-step some modern and jazz.
Bible Studies
I am an ordained minister (20 years) with three years post-graduation/doctoral seminary education.At the Interdenominational Theological Center (Gammon Seminary)I earned the bulk of the classroom and some clincal hours in Psychology of Religion and Pastoral Care and Counseling which were used towards the requirements for completing the PhD in Social Psychology.
Elementary (K-6th)
I have 12 years pass my initial 13 years of secondary and elementary education. I have taught almost every subject from kindergarten through graduate level. Thus I have taught pupils to become students, student to become teachers and teacher to be principal.
Additionally, I was a State of Florida certified k-12 grade substitute teacher of elementary subject for almost ten years and have taught as a teacher of record for another seven years I am highly qualified to teach all subjects at the elementary level and I have a State Certificate in Theater (Language and Performance Arts) K-12.

I was a Professor's Assistant for most of my undergraduate years in college. In addition to being a Theater Education major, which required 21 additional hours in secondary education, I also acquired the necessary hours to have a minor in English; which makes me certified eligible in a plethora of Language Arts subjects including advance and remedial English and Reading.

What may be missing in the limited description of my unique approach is that as a social psychology when I approach a subject either for research or an individual for treatment. (I do practice in clinic and counseling) I access a person's politics, education, social interest and issues among a plethora of other social science influence that the normal clinician may not; opting more to hone in on the subject's bio/psycho/socio backgrounds.
My areas of interest in Psychology is Behavior and it's interaction with and in society. My minor domain is organization/industry specific to media. Fundamentally, gauging media's influence on behavior.

Public Speaking
I have extensive backgrounds in the theatre, film, television and commercial acting. My professional training includes an AA in TV, a BS in Theatre Education, which includes more than 2 or 3 courses in Oral Interpretation, Speech and the like, and 10 plus years as the host, writer and producer of De Wright Show (Time-Warner Cable, Comcast Cable PTV-24).

Sociology
As a Social Psychologist before earning clinical credentials, I find I still take into account many of the Social Science discipline when I am accessing a student's or a patient's bio-psycho-social and readiness for the either the academic challenges or the necessary approaches to treatment that he may be experiencing. Whereas most therapist and counselor are trained in accessing a bio-psycho-social; I don't think many of them are prepared to also look at the subject's religion, politics, social issues, economic situation, or his or her arts and entertainment. This is what sets me a part and able to teach, interpret and translate the social sciences, including sociology to student in a holistic way. My Masters of Applied Social Sciences is as interdisciplinary as the field itself; the major cognate was: Public Administration and my minor cognate was Education Leadership/ Counseling. Subsequent to that I spent the first 3 years of my pre-doctoral work studying Pastoral Care and Counseling at an Interdenominational Seminary; there I became more acquainted with the works of Durkheim, Webber and many other sociologists that have helped to shape the field of sociology itself. I have used almost all of what I learned in in my professional career and have taught them in some form or another. The Social Sciences: interdisciplinary in scope that is why I humbly submit this petition that I be granted certification in the area of sociology. I am the scientist that never stopped looking at a person's PERSIA (politics, etc.) when it comes to understanding the whole person.
Theatre
Hold in addition to an Associates in Media: TV Productions, I also took the Bachelors of Science in Theater with Teaching Certification from Florida A&M Univ. I was Guest Artist to The Southern Shakespeare Festival (Florida) and was awarded Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award from The City of Detroit. I am more than qualified to teach Theater as I have served and taught as Theater courses from extracurricular to the college level.
