A little about Joshua:
Before I became an attorney I went through school--a LOT of school. I also took tests--a LOT of tests. I remember what it was like as a student to try to excel in school and prepare for exams. Looking back, I wish many of my teachers, professors & tutors kept the perspective of the student in mind when trying to impart knowledge.
I excel as a tutor because I know that knowledge of the subject matter is only half the battle. Though I possess a wealth of knowledge in many subjects and have tutored in English, Law, LSAT, Bar Prep Study, Math & Writing, none of my students would have benefited from my knowledge if I didn't know how to impart that knowledge in a refreshing and thought-provoking way.
Equally as important as knowing the subject is coming up with a fun, engaging, & thought-provoking lesson plan that keeps students attentive and makes them want to learn the subject matter and apply their knowledge. I find that my experience as a creative writer helps me distinguish my lessons from other tutors as I can make learning fun as well as informative.
