I have an MBA and worked in politics for a few years.

I am very knowledgeable on the topics of U.S. history, government, and how to interact with kids -- particularly those with behavioral issues. I have run an inner-city tutoring program for over 15 years and am very good one on one with kids. I am also quite empathetic.

Strengths: good listener, very good focusing on self-esteem and building confidence, caring, love kids

Weaknesses: believe that the self-confidence and the learning must go hand in hand. So progress initially can be slow but the end result is a better learner who can tackle other subjects. I try to help the kid help themselves and insist that if they put their mind to it they can do it (we all have different challenges so just because one thing is challenging for them doesn't mean that other things that are not challenging to them are challenging to others).

How do I receive a discount?

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
