My son is in first grade and was struggling with his reading. His confidence was suffering and he would get anxious and overwhelmed easily. At his request I looked into hiring a once a week tutor and found Emily. We started January 15th and have met with her once a week since then. We got our son's report card yesterday and are AMAZED by his progress. His teacher reports that he has moved up FOUR LEVELS since we started tutoring (2 months ago). But, more importantly he is much more confident in his abilities. He rarely becomes overwhelmed during reading at school and has started choosing to read on his own at home. June 3, 2012 Erica just informed me today that her son received his year-end reading assessment score and he is currently reading above first grade level. Her son's teacher has reported he reads with much more confidence and fluency which has improved his overall academic performance. During tutoring sessions, he applies his skills and sharpened phonemic awareness when decoding, thus, he attempts to tackle more difficult material much more readily and successfully. It has been a pleasure watching him blossom.

I had Emily review two graduate school personal statements. Even though we did this entirely over email, she was very prompt, communicated competently, and delivered strong recommendations for improving overall quality. However, if I ever need to return to Emily, I would want to dedicate more time to diminishing wordiness and perfecting word choices. (These issues were discovered following our last session.) You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
