Six years ago, I came to the U.S. with my parents from Southern China when I was in middle school. Six years later, I became a fluent English speaker, and I am in college to get a higher education. If people would ask, "What would you consider as unforgettable in your life?" I would say that it is the experience of living in China. I was born and grew up in China for 15 years. There was a lot of happiness in learning Chinese and its culture. While I had Chinese lessons, I practiced reading and writing. I always got A's on my writing exam because I learned to express my feeling and critical thinking through writing.
I would like to share with the Chinese learners about the happiness I had in learning and speaking in Chinese. In my teaching experience with children, kids learn faster in Chinese through game and repetition. Today,I work a part-time Chinese teacher in a private French school. I use pictures, children's book, games, and songs as teaching materials. I am so grateful to hear my students (from age 3 to 8) start to speak simple sentences in Chinese. That became my motivation to teach Chinese.
In addition,I passed SAT II Chinese with 800 during High School. I also good at solving math problems like Algebra 1 and Algebra 2. It is important for a students to understand the math method in algebra because that can affect students on getting into higher levels in math. I would offer up my best for your children, and that is my responsibility as a tutor.
