I've been a working photographer for the past 35 years. I've shot everything from National advertisements of Gucci with fashion and well as shooting catalogs for Nordstrom, National Ads for Felina lingerie (26), shooting for Guess Jeans and annual reports of some of the biggest CEO's and presidents of major corporations as well as shooting over 200 celebrities for magazines in both the US and Europe. I studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago under the late great Dan Morrill and also had the chance to assist the late great photographer George Hurrel in my early part of my career. Several of my photographs were chosen to be included in the book "Shoreline" in which some of the greatest photographers from around the world were invited to submit their work. The publisher and creative director was B. Martin Pedersen. I have worked with everything from 35mm to 8X10 cameras but for the last 10 years have been working with digital cameras. I have a very strong knowledge in lighting "strobes," "natural light," "kinoFlows." I've had close to 20 different Assistants go on to be "working photographers" after working with me.
I have a very hands on approach and no questions are stupid, after all, this is about teaching a person and for them to learn photography through my many years of experience in photography. My class is intended for only serious individuals who really want to learn photography whether you're 15 or 70 years old. My classes would cover composition, depth of field through F-stop, Lighting, processing RAW images to name a few.
