I earned my BS in Statistics with a minor in Economics from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2009. I graduated in 2011 with my MS in Applied Statistics from CSULB with department honors. I've had 4 summer internships with statistics related work. I'm currently working at a public university in LA as a staff statistician. I worked as a graduate assistant for the department of Math & Statistics for all 4 semesters at CSULB.
My duties included working in the statistical consulting group and assisting a large lecture introductory statistics class (up to 200 students). By grading hundreds of exams, holding weekly office hours, and holding study sessions for the course, I know the trouble spots and can help you avoid the common pitfalls of Stat 101. We used the Triola book, but I am very familiar with the Mann book as well.
In the consulting group I've worked on several statistics projects/dissertations ranging from education, biology, psychology, nursing, business, sports, sociology, data cleaning, and more.
These experiences would be beneficial to you if you need help with a statistics course, want to pass the AP stat exam, or need statistical support for your thesis/dissertation. There are many statistics tutors on this site, but few who have gone to the depths that I have in this subject.
My areas of interest are sports, medicine, design of experiments, surveys, multivariate statistics, time series, and repeated measures modeling.
In a nutshell: 2 years TA experience in intro statistics; BS and MS degrees in statistics; 4 summer statistical internships (using SPSS); 2 years of statistical consulting at the university; SAS Base 9 certified; Member ASA (American Statistical Association).
Feel free to contact me with any questions!
*UPDATE: I work full-time during the week and am only interested in tutoring a few hours on the weekends*
