Singing is as natural as breathing. You were born to do it. Ditch the fear and just get started. I am a professional vocalist with over a decade's worth of experience in studio sessions and live gigs, solo and choral work. I began teaching seven years ago.
Your voice is an instrument. Learn the basics and you’ll be able to play it, with or without that mysterious quality called “talent.” Consistent practice always yields better results than being born lucky.
I teach basic vocal technique (posture, breath work, placement, resonance and diction), song performance (genre coaching, connecting with your material, microphone technique, projection and proper staging for any environment), ear training (how to listen to music), sight singing (how to sing written music at sight) and music theory for singers (interval training, solfege, how to learn music off the page and how to arrange your own harmonies). I teach all levels from beginner through advanced.
All you have to do is get started.
In addition to voice, I also teach a number of other subjects:
Beginning piano (children and adults) - I currently teach both voice and piano at a small music academy, as well as with a few private students.
Literacy skills (grades 3-6) - I have taught and written curriculum for a revolutionary program which enhances literacy skills through music and have worked with a number of elementary school age students on reading, writing, spelling, grammar and creative written composition.
