She reviews the material she went over with my daughter on a continual basis and keeps in close contact with me regarding her progress. I am extremely happy with Phoebe's instruction and work ethic.

Rebecca G., Student: Phoebe is a very conscientious and focused tutor. When I decided to go back to school for medicine, I was required to take many math and science courses. My background is in Communications and there is a reason - math and science are HARD! In fact, I didn't think I was "wired" to comprehend subjects that dealt with lots of numbers and equations. I was wrong and it took a really hardworking, determined tutor to show me that I was, indeed, capable of understanding Pre-Calculus, Chemistry, and Physics. I am a UCLA student who has taken science and math classes both through the Extension Program and on Main Campus. Phoebe tutored me in all three of the above mentioned subjects. She never gave up on me and made it her job to do whatever it takes to bring me to understand very difficult concepts. Phoebe is different from other tutors I have worked with in the past because she doesn't just have one standard approach. She genuinely cares and wants to discover how each student best learns so that she may approach the concepts in a manner that makes sense to the student. She never gets frustrated if you do not understand, but continues to refine her methodology in presenting the material in a very human way. She is not only a tutor, but a listener. I never thought I would say physics is fun...but I genuinely appreciate it! Phoebe loves to learn and loves what she is teaching. Her true enthusiasm made me forget I was "studying" hard subjects. Our sessions would fly by because I was learning so much and having so much fun learning. As long as I am in California, I will have Phoebe tutoring me. I know I would never have been able to ace those basic, hard sciences, without her.

Student: Phoebe was GREAT!
Ok, I am a non-mathy student, and the stats class was the last thing I wanted to go to on my weds nights. But Phoebe helped me pass the class, despite my dislike of it and the fact I'm not good at it. She is sweet, supporting, and will work so hard for you! I am very grateful for her time and dedication!

Student: Phoebe was an excellent tutor. For about two months she tutored me for my upcoming GRE test. She was patient and very understanding. She always showed up to our meetings fully prepared and she would also bring supplemental worksheets that would help me as well. Phoebe is very sweet, nice, and she really cares if you understand the subject material. I highly recommend Phoebe to anyone who wants to better their education.
