Hello All!
I've passed CBEST (the test teachers take to get licensed in California), CSET General Science subject tests, and also the CSET Biology and Chemistry subtests. I graduated from college summa cum laude with a 3.9 GPA. I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a Psychology minor. I achieved a lot of advanced, in-depth science knowledge from attending medical school. In any case, the strength of a good tutor lies not only in mastering the knowledge, but in also being able to deliver it to the student effectively. I've been told by my students that I am a pro at this! If you let me tutor you, I guarantee that you will truly understand the material better. Also, I have a magnetic personality, so I guarantee that you will have a lot of fun during our tutoring sessions!
One of my strengths as a tutor lies in the fact that I am very versatile, both in terms of the age groups I can work with, and the subjects I can teach. This versatility is actually what I enjoy most about my tutoring experiences. Currently, I am working with students in elementary school, high school, college and also graduate school. Some of the subjects I teach include Algebra, Biology, Chemistry, Physiology, Biochemistry and English. I am also tutoring a number of students in SAT, ACT, ISEE, and SSAT prep.
I’m an extremely effective tutor. I’ve been tutoring for many years. During college, I tutored many introductory and advanced Science courses. I worked for a different tutoring company for about a year, and tutored Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Algebra, Geometry and more. It was a great experience, and I’ve gotten amazing feedback from all my students, parents and administration. Joining WyzAnt has been an unbelievable experience for me, and I feel blessed to be able to make a difference in my students' lives.
So how am I unique? When I tutor, I don’t just look superficially at the subject that the student wants assistance on. I look at the student as a whole. This includes their educational background, study habits, interests and future goals. I feel that this entire picture helps me help the student better. I also feel that a student will learn best from me only once they trust me. I want to not only serve as their tutor, but also as a positive role model and mentor!
Here’s a little about me… I love to run! I guess that’s my biggest hobby. I have participated in competitive distance running all throughout high school and college. I was State Champion in high school, and still hold the 10K record at my college (have held it for the past six years!) I’ve participated in, and done well in, many races since then. I would love to coach cross-country and track, and pass my love of running and fitness on to you! I have also always had a great passion for nutrition and fitness in general. With all my experience as a competitive athlete and being a health buff, I know I’ll be a great coach!
I’ve also taken piano lessons for about eight years (practical and musical theory). I’ve played in Carnegie Hall, which was a great experience. I’d love to teach this also!
I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Parent Testimonial to me and school administration:
"Fatima, I sooo wish we would have met you earlier! You have been the biggest help to Camille and we are both so grateful. I will encourage Camille to email you when she gets her final back... fingers crossed! With my heartfelt thanks!"
