A few details regarding my recent teaching and advising experience:

From 2009 through the present, in addition to maintaining my independent tutoring practice, I have worked with two private tutoring companies and have taught undergraduate courses as a Lecturer in the UCLA Department of Sociology.

From 2004 - 2008, I taught a variety of undergraduate courses at UCLA. I have advised and mentored undergraduate students individually in the design and implementation of original empirical research projects, supervised student writing, presented lectures, facilitated discussions, and coordinated small-group activities.

In addition to being an accomplished university-level instructor and private tutor, I am a College Admissions Advisor, providing students with one-on-one guidance and support as they navigate the college admissions process.

I earned my PhD in Sociology from UCLA in 2008. My areas of specialization within Sociology include gender, culture, and qualitative methods. In addition to writing a masters thesis and dissertation and passing comprehensive field exams in this subject, I had the opportunity to participate in several quarters of research and undergraduate teaching as part of my completion of this degree.
