I am a summa cum laude UCLA graduate that studied political science and philosophy. My tutoring experience spans over 10 years, beginning in high school and evolving through word of mouth referrals. My strongest subject is English (and all related subjects) and my specialty is editing papers, novels and screenplays. I have also helped many students improve their overall study skills in all subjects (I was always a nerd in school :) and I've successfully worked with students in all high-school level subjects, and with college students and adults with ESL and studying for particular exams. I have worked as a freelance editor for several years. I have written short stories and poems, as well as A+ graded UCLA papers. Most recently, I co-wrote a novel and am currently writing a screenplay.

I have extensive tutoring experience in this area, tutoring children in all elementary-level subjects throughout my high school years, on a one-on-one basis as well as on a small group basis. I have also volunteered as a tutor/mentor for elementary-level students at the Boys and Girls Club of Hollywood when I was in college and worked as an after-school tutor and care-taker at Serrania Elementary School when I was in junior high.

Grammar

Of all the fascinating features of the English language, grammar is my favorite. I've always had a knack for it; for some reason, I was just able to grasp how a sentence or word is supposed to sound that I couldn't even imagine it any other way.
