I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. I can help you with most levels of math. I have taken quite a few education courses and have spent plenty of time in middle school and high school classrooms. I understand that each student has a different way of learning. I am friendly and patient, but most importantly I really enjoy helping others learn math in their own way and hopefully will inspire a sense of enjoyment and understanding in you.

Algebra 1

Algebra I is such an important class, as it is the backbone of almost every other math class you take. Having a strong understanding of algebra will help you succeed in future math classes. I take this subject very seriously. There are different ways to learn the material, but it is important to me that the student really does learn.

Algebra 2

I enjoy algebra 2. It's an interesting topic, and there are multiple ways to understand. So for each student's particular learning style, there will be a way for the topics to have meaning.

CBEST

I have taken and passed all three parts of the CBEST. I can help others prepare as I spent quite a bit of time studying for the test, especially the writing section.

Geometry

I have taken courses in Euclidean as well as Non-Euclidean Geometries. I have also learned a few methods of teaching geometry in my Credential Courses.

Precalculus

I took college Precalculus and have studied different high school precalculus curricula. This is one of my favorite topics to work with because learning it well provides a strong background for future math courses. The course also provides many problems that help the student to begin or continue to think mathematically.
